I WEEP FOR NIGERIA!!!!

I refused my pen and my hands as they intend discussing the pitiable decline of education in Nigeria. I have been holding back for so long that my system decided to cry out for help. As a young Nigerian student I have hopes and dreams, I have goals including target and set time. For everything there is a season says the holy book: a season to seek for admission into a university and a season to graduate. Mine was supposed to be 2010-2015 until the annoying act of these old randy cabals. Don't get me wrong, I’m not referring to the agitating Academic staff unions but I will not mention them(in lagbaja's voice) The Education sector has declined so much that I can rarely remember anytime it was in a good state. Although my Dad including my lecturers says that education is no longer what is used to be: and If I understood them rightly it means there was a blissful moment in education. Abah! Am I the only one whose body smells and reeks of home? I do not know if Nigerian students look like lab rats to these so called leaders. Why do they want to use our lives as experiments? We can't even compete with our mates in private schools talk more of outside the country. Do they want to frustrate our parents enough for them to enroll us into private universities? Is it hard for them to understand that all fingers are not equal, hence not all can afford going to a private University? Do you blame them for their insensitive merry-go-round? Of course their children are either studying in private universities or outside the country. They don't know what it means for 4 grown men to be back on ASUU strike (says my mum's friend), my food is gone she laments (laughs) how will these ones know when they have enough embezzled money to last them and their unborn grandchildren? (Mtschw) I listened to the ASUU chairman say they will not budge until the Federal government answers them. The President says there isn't enough money to meet their demands (raises eyebrow) did u hear that? No money? In this Nigeria? Excuse me, does the president think the whole nation are Zombies or do we look like we still wear pampers?(No offense to the babies, but you will understand much later when you are grown-hopefully by then they will all be near or in their graves). No money??? Of course! There is no money when a mere deputy governor takes home 30m per month for just security allowance. I ask: how much has God been collecting from him each day to keep him safe? The next time any of these leaders complain that there isn't enough money- we should all riot and canvass against their unnecessary allowance. Let the president cut down his allowance, including those of his cabinet but of course they won’t- they are all infected with the stings of corruption. I say we have had enough of these people. None of them is even worth being a role model. They are all wolves in sheep clothing. Pretending as if they care when we all know they don't. Our destiny is in our hands, we can keep looking at them and keep re-electing them and we can decide to stand for the truth and revolt against them. I have these to say to all of u all- every day is for the thief, but surely a day cometh for the owner. I am Funso Waters and I stand for the truth always.
God help Nigeria!
